Richard Roberts wasn’t a street junkie, buying illegal drugs, and getting high for the fun of it. He was just a guy, serving in our military, who was prescribed some very potent medication for a serious and painful back injury, which led to a 12-year battle with addiction and the law. Richard shares his personal struggle with drug addiction, homelessness, the legal system…and getting the benefits he was entitled to.
Hosts Michael Hunter and Elizabeth Atkins discuss Richard’s experience both during his military service, and afterwards with The Buddy To Buddy Program.
Let’s talk about it.
